Welcome

We are all looking forward to joining old and new friends to Jersey in October this year for an exciting two day event, be they competitors, volunteers or enthusiasts. There will be 26 competitive stages on the Island’s public roads, closed for the event, with a stage mileage of just under 100 miles spread over Friday 11^th and Saturday 12^th October. Many visitors will come for much longer to enjoy time in our beautiful Island and a major sporting event.

This is the first year in which we are contributing to the JMC&LCC Environmental Fund. All the money raised this year will go towards replanting the Railway Walk from La Corbiere to St Aubin. Trees for Life will be planting a wide range of trees including maritime pine, English oak, hazel, wild cherry, tamarisk, silver birch and walnut, creating a beautiful linear woodland for the whole island to enjoy. Each entry fee includes an individual contribution and we look forward to announcing the total raised in due course.

Apart from the event cancelled due to Covid-19, the Jersey Rally has been an ever-present fixture on the Island’s sporting calendar. It’s certainly one of the largest annual sporting events involving over 400 officials, marshals, radio operators, timekeepers and other support staff, around 300 crew and service teams and, of course, the Jersey Rally Committee – and the hundreds of spectators who come out rain or shine. Truly a community event.

Entries have opened and we have seen a very healthy interest in our premier Island event with many visiting enthusiasts already with confirmed travel and accommodation. There’s a large number of former winners and some very exciting vehicles spread across the various classes, including a growing number of the latest top flight 4WD rally cars.

Planning for the event starts in December of the previous year and many hours have been invested already in planning and preparing, meeting with the authorities, preparing the relevant documentation, risk assessments, and contingency planning. Thank you to all these unseen heroes.

Rally HQ and Service is, once again, at the Royal Jersey Agricultural and Horticultural Society’s show ground in Trinity, and we are very grateful for their continued support of our Rally. You will be able to support our charitable partners, MacMillan Jersey and Jersey Brain Tumour Charity at Rally HQ.
